The Fairview Amish Mennonite congregation near Fairview, Michigan established a preaching point at Sunnyside, an area in Loud Township, Montmorency County, Michigan, north of the town of Comins, about 10 miles from Fairview.

The Fairview congregation built a meetinghouse at Sunnyside, which it dedicated on 6 June 1909. It held Sunday school and worship services at that location.

When Simon Sommer moved to Imlay City, Michigan, in 1919, the Indiana-Michigan Mennonite Mission Board sold the meetinghouse to the county as a township hall. The building was later razed.
