Singel Mennonite Church, the name popularly given to the meetinghouse of the Amsterdam Mennonite Church, which is located on the Singel Canal, No. 452. In 1608 Harmen Hendriksz van Warendorp had this meetinghouse built for the Flemish congregation; it was enlarged in 1639. It received the name bij't Lam because it was located near a brewery which had a lamb as its gable sign. (See Amsterdam.)
