Silver Lake Hutterite Colony near Silver Lake, South Dakota, USA, was founded in 1874 when the Hutterdorf Hutterite Colony (Hutterdorf, Zaporizhia Oblast, Ukraine) moved to South Dakota, USA. It existed for only one year, to 1875, when it moved to form the Wolf Creek Hutterite Colony (Freeman, South Dakota, USA).
