Salem Mennonite Church, Quakertown, Pennsylvania, USA came into existence in 1946, meeting first in a small schoolhouse. This location became too small and the Franconia Mennonite Conference Mission Board purchased a three-story former cigar factory in Shelly in 1948.

Salem became an organized congregation in 1950. In 1970 plans began for an expansion, with a building erected at the rear of the old building. This building was completed in 1971.

In 2016 the congregation was a multi-generational mix of families and friends, with a worship style that included a mixture of contemporary and traditional music.
