The Rosedale Mennonite congregation at Rosedale, AB began services about 1927. C.D. Harder is considered the founding leader of the group. The congregation originated through immigration from the Soviet Union.

The drought and economic depression during the thirties and the closing of the coal mine in the area caused most of the Mennonite settlers to move away.

The congregation dissolved in the 1930s. It had been affiliated with the Conference of Mennonites in Canada since 1929. The language of worship was German.
