Rock Haven Church of God in Christ, Mennonite (Belleville, Pennsylvania, USA)
The Rock Haven Church of God in Christ, Mennonite congregation southwest of Belleville, Pennsylvania, USA was established in 1957. The congregation started as various families in the area were converted and baptized following revivial meetings by Church of God in Christ, Mennonite ministers. Although growth of the congregation was slow, some converts came from the Old Order Amish, New Order Amish, and Amish Mennonite communities.
In late 1957 a former schoolhouse was renovated for use as a meetinghouse. The first local communion was held on 29 September 1958. The congregation built a new church in 1976/77, with the first services held on 27 February 1977. It was at this time the congregation took the name Rock Haven because of the rocky foundation on which the church was built.
In 1999 the congregation voted to launch a daughter congregation in the McVeytown area across the mountain. This became the Living Springs congregation.
The church also operates the Rock Haven Christian School.
In 2020 the congregation was part of the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite. The ministers were Amos Peachey and Stanton Schmidt.
