Richmond (Virginia, USA)
Richmond, the capital (population of 197,790 in 2000) of Virginia, is located in the eastern part of the state. The National Heights Mennonite Church (Mennonite Church), organized in 1951, had a membership of 27 in 1957, with Truman H. Brunk as bishop in charge. The university and seminary in the city attract an increasing number of Mennonite students.
