Gerhard J. "G. J." Rempel, of Blumenort, [[Cuauhtémoc (Chihuahua State, Mexico)|Cuauhtémoc]], [[e|Chihuahua]], [[Mexico|Mexico]], an outstanding leader (<em>Vorsteher</em>) of the Cuauhtémoc [[Old Colony Mennonites|Old Colony Mennonite]] settlement, did much for the economic and cultural development of the conservative Mennonites.
