Remonstrantie en deductie over de Leere, en conventiculen der Mennisten der Stede Deventer (Deventer, 1670) (Inquiry and Conclusion Concerning the Doctrines and Meetings of the Mennonites in the City of Deventer) is a pamphlet by an anonymous (Reformed) author addressed to the magistrate of Deventer, Dutch province of Overijssel, for the purpose of having the Mennonite meetings in this town prohibited. Shortly before, another pam­phlet had appeared: Redenen waerom de . . . Magistraet den Mennisten tot Deventer niet magh toelaten Conventkulen te houden (Deventer, 1670) (Reasons Why the Magistrates of Deventer Should not Allow the Mennonites to Hold Meetings). These reasons are repeated in Remonstrantie en deductie; they are partly theological and partly political, viz., that the Mennonites were Socinians, rejected the magistracy, and were of Münsterite origin.

Abraham Willemsz Cremer, the Mennonite minister of Deventer, opposed both the Redenen and the Remonstrantie en deductie in the pamphlets Nootwendighe ontschuldinge (Necessary Apology) (Deventer, 1670) and Antwoorde (Answer) (De­venter, 1671).

The magistrates of Deventer officially decided to close the two Mennonite churches in this town, but actually they made no serious attempts to stop the Mennonite meetings, and the Mennonites continued to meet without hindrance.
