Regier, Cornelius (1835-1919)

Cornelius Regier, minister: born 14 January 1835 in Tiegenhagen, Prussia, the twelfth of fifteen children of Peter Regier (1798-1856) and Margaretha (Regier) Regier (1799-1861). Abraham married Agneta Penner (24 October 1836, Tiegenort, Prussia - 9 December 1906, Danzig, Prussia) on 24 October 1859 in Tiegenhagen, Prussia. She was the daughter of Aron Penner (1790-1866) and Maria (Regehr) Penner. Cornelius died 23 November 1919 in Tiegenhagen, Prussia.

Cornelius was a farmer and estate holder. His father Peter was the elder of the Grosswerder Mennonite Church in Prussia. Cornelius was ordained as a minister in the Tiegenhagen Mennonite Church in 1867, where his older brother Abraham was the elder.
