Primera Iglesia Evangelica (Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada)

The Primera Iglesia Evangelica began services about 1987. Pablo Reyes is considered the founding leader of the group. The congregation originated through outreach by Hispanic Mennonites in Calgary, the Mennonite Board of Missions (Elkhart, Indiana, USA) and the Northwest Mennonite Conference.

In 1995 there were 37 members; in 2000, 37. The congregation has been affiliated with the Northwest Mennonite Conference, the Mennonite Church (until 1999) and the Hispanic Mennonite Convention of Churches in the USA and Canada. The language of worship is Spanish.

The congregation is located at 1002 Yuill St. SE, Medicine Hat, AB. T1A 0Z2. Pastor Rual Gurdian served in 2002 as a congregational leader.
