Northern Lights Church of God in Christ, Mennonite (Silver Valley, Alberta, Canada)
The Northern Lights Church of God in Christ, Mennonite congregation began services in 1964. The first building was occupied in 1967. The congregation originated through the colonization of northern Alberta.
In 1985 there were 59 members; in 1995, 75; in 2000, 72. The congregation has been affiliated with the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite. The language of worship is English.
Silver Valley was also previously called Silver Valley Church of God in Christ, Mennonite. The congregation operates Northern Lights School.
The church is located 16 miles west of Spirit River, to Moonshine Lake Rd., 14 miles north, 5 miles west, 5.5 miles north. Ministers Arlen Johnson and Weldon Friesen served in 2001 as non-salaried congregational leaders.
