The Northern Lights Church of God in Christ, Mennonite congregation in Silver Valley, Alberta, Canada is located in the central Peace River area. It was established in 1964 when families moved to the area in search of affordable farm land in an undeveloped area. Initially services were held in homes. Early in 1967 the group purchased a church building and moved it on to centrally located property purchased from the government. The congregation installed electricity in November 1968.

Although the area presents agricultural challenges, mixed farming operations including grain and forage have been successful.

Originally called the Silver Valley Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, the congregation soon chose the name Northern Lights.

Harold Wiebe was ordained as a deacon on 7 May 1970, and Darrel Toews was ordained as a minister on 6 June 1980.

In 2019 the congregation was part of the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite. The minister was Steven Mandel.
