New Community Mennonite Church (Berwyn, Pennsylvania, USA)
New Community Mennonite Church, Berwyn, Pennsylvania, USA began in 1986 as an outreach of the New Life Mennonite Church of Downingtown, Pennsylvania. Its initial name was Living Waters Fellowship when it met in the Upper Main Line YMCA in Berwyn. It soon moved and took the name, Hopewell Mennonite Church of Paoli. It became a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference of the Mennonite Church (MC) as a self-supporting congregation in March 1989.
In 1992 the congregation began to rent space at the Trinity Presbyterian Church in Berwyn, Pennsylvania. In 1994 the congregation reorganized as a church plant with a cell church structure. It again changed its name to New Community Mennonite Church.
In July 1999 the congregation closed because of declining membership after consultation with conference leadership persons.
