Hermann Neufeld (24 June 1860-28 September 1931) was an itinerant minister and elder of the Mennonite Brethren Church. He was born at Yarkivka, Ekaterinoslav province, South Russia, the seventh of the twelve children of Abraham and Helena Unrau Neufeld. On 6 February 1883 he married Katharina Klassen and established his home at Sergeyevka, Taurida province, South Russia, working in an iron foundry for a living. Together they had fifteen children. In 1892-1923 they lived at Nikolayevka, Ekaterinoslav province.

In 1884 Neufeld joined the Mennonite Brethren (MB) Church. The following year he began to preach in his local church and in 1886 was ordained to the ministry. In 1890 he began a very active service as an itinerant minister (Reiseprediger) in the MB Conference, which lasted twenty-five years. During this time he conducted many meetings in all the MB churches of Russia, visiting Turkestan twice and Siberia four times. He also made two trips to Germany where he took part in Bible conferences. In 1905 he was ordained elder and became one of the outstanding leaders of the MB Conference in Russia, and served on various boards and committees.

In 1923 Neufeld immigrated with his family to Canada, establishing his home in Winkler, MB. Here, too, he immediately became active in the ministry, his particular service being that of Bible expositor in the Canadian MB churches. He also wrote many valuable articles for periodicals in Russia as well as in Canada. He wrote and published a booklet entitled Handbuch für Prediger. He died in Winkler, on 28 September 1931, and was buried in the local MB cemetery. Herman H. Neufeld, a former editor of the Mennonitische Rundschau, and K. H. Neufeld, a musician, are sons of Hermann A. Neufeld.
