Mohican Valley Door of Hope was started as an outreach in Danville, Ohio, USA in January 2006. The idea was to branch off from Mount Zion House of Prayer in Utica, and reach out to the people of Danville. Originally, 12 families formed the core of the church. The congregation joined the Biblical Mennonite Alliance in 2007.

In 2015 the leading minister was John Mullett. The congregational membership was 78.
