View source for Maeyken Truyens (d. 1577)

Maeyken Truyens, an [[Anabaptism|Anabaptist]] martyr, executed at [[Antwerp (Belgium)|Antwerp]], [[Belgium|Belgium]], on 19 January 1577 because she had been (re) baptized and frequented Mennonite meetings. Particulars about this martyr are lacking. With her [[Geertruyt Faes (d. 1577)|Geertruyt Faes]] and Laureys Janssen suffered martyrdom. They were the last Mennonites to die in Antwerp.
