Maeyken Groffelaers, an Anabaptist martyr, burned at the stake with three other martyrs at Antwerp, Belgium, on 26 May 1573. She was a native of Brussels, had often attended the Mennonite meetings, but was not yet (re) baptized, though she would have liked to receive baptism upon her faith "if she had only had an opportunity."
