Van Limborgh (Limborg, Limborch, Limburg) was a former Dutch Mennonite family found both at Leiden and Amsterdam, where a number of them served the congregations as deacons in the 17th and 18th centuries. This family may have originated from the Dutch province of Limburg or adjacent parts of Germany. Isaac van Limburgh published Vrede presentatie aan G. Abrahamsz en zyne Medestemmers (Amsterdam, 1664). Pieter van Limburg, who at the end of the 17th century was a preacher of the Mennonite congregation at Burtscheid-Maastricht, had a quarrel with a Pieter Frenken, and published Noodig verhaal, dienende tot waerschouwinge van den onbehoorlijken handel van zekeren Pieter Frenken (Amsterdam, 1703).
