Lighthouse Church of God in Christ, Mennonite (Grifton, North Carolina, USA)
The Lighthouse Church of God in Christ, Mennonite congregation east of Grifton, North Carolina, USA was established in 1990. The congregation started when families moved to the area from Mississippi to pursue job opportunities. The Colonization Board of the denomination approved the location in late 1989. The congregation was formally organized on 8 July 1990.
Family occupations within the congregation in the 1990s included pig farming, fish farming, lawn care, construction, welding, and trucking.
The congregation rented church facilities until it built its own church at the present location in 1993.
The church also operates the Swift Creek Mennonite School. It was held in the church until a new school building adjacent to the church was erected in about 2003.
In 2020 the congregation was part of the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite. The ministers were Leon Kanagy, Roger Yost, and Wilbur Wiggers.
