Lambert, Sidenham (1855-1937)

Sidenham Lambert was a minister in the Mennonite Brethren in Christ Church. He was born in Northampton County, Pennsylvania in 1855. He was ordained in 1876. He was married to Emma Hosller in 1876, who died in 1903. Among their eight children was Mrs. J. A. Huffman. He was later married twice more, to Amanda Long in 1905, and to Anna Flatter in 1915. He held pastorates in Fleetwood, Pennsylvania, Bethel Church in Elkhart County, Indiana, Potsdam, Ohio, and Beech Grove, Darke County, Ohio. He served as presiding elder in the Indiana and Ohio Conference for a number of years; was president of the General Conference Executive Board for eight years, treasurer of the Indiana and Ohio Conference for six years, and a member of the General Conference for many years as well as its chairperson in 1900. He died in 1937.
