The Lake Providence Mennonite Church north of Transylvania, Louisiana, USA, was established in 1969. The congregation started when families from Kansas began to move to the Lake Providence area in 1968 to seek work in land leveling in this Mississippi Delta area.

Initially, the families worshiped as possible with the Leland congregation in Mississippi. Minister Verle Johnson and his family moved to the community in 1969, and the group began to meet at the Bank of Dixie in Lake Providence. Later the congregation purchased a house that was used as a church building. In 1977 land south of Lake Providence for a church was donated. It erected a church building in 1978 north of Transylvania and changed its name to Delta Mennonite Church.

The congregation began its school in 1977 in a building in Alsatia. After the church was built, the school moved there. For several years in the 1980s, the school was held in a former school building for several years, before moving back to the church. In 1997 a separate school building near the church was constructed.

In 2020 the congregation was part of the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite. The ministers were Ken Swarey and Philip Schroeder.
