Cornelis (de) Kuyper (Cuyper, Kuiper) was a Dutch Mennonite elder of the Flemish congregation at Haarlem. He was a partisan of the well-known Dutch elder Jacques Outerman of Haarlem. He defended the doctrine of the Incarnation (Christ did not receive His flesh from Mary) as taught by Menno Simons. He was attacked by Pieter Matthysz and two Reformed ministers of Middelburg, Johannes Seu and Herman Faukelius, on a charge of Socinian views. In September 1609 de Kuyper, Francois de Knuyt, a Mennonite preacher from Zierikzee, and Jan van Voorden, elder at Utrecht, had a disputation at Zierikzee with Reformed ministers. De Kuyper published Eenvuldighe verantwoordinge met corte Verklaringhe onses Geloofs van den Eenighen God. . . als oock van de Heylige Menschwerdinge onses Salichmakers . . . (n.p., n.d., ca. 1604). De Kuyper died before 1617.
