Kootenay Valley Church of God in Christ, Mennonite in Creston, British Columbia had its beginning in 1991 when three families moved to Creston in search of work. The small group began holding Sunday morning services in the Canyon United Church. The congregation formally organized in July 1993, and later that year converted an old welding shop into a church building for its own use.

Minister Art Froese was the first resident minister. In 2019 Arlen Johnson and Greg Dueck served along with Art Froese.

The church also supports the Kootenay Valley Christian School.
