Kinsman New Order Amish Settlement (Kinsman, Ohio, USA)
The Kinsman New Order Amish settlement near Kinsman, Trumbull County, Ohio, USA was established in 1975. The settlement actually sits on the Ohio-Pennsylvania line, with the majority of families living in Crawford County, Pennsylvania. The settlement started when Bishop Mahlon and Gertie Mast moved to the area from Holiday, Tennessee. A number of extended family members joined them.
The community uses tractors in the fields, but horse and buggy for regular transportation.
The Kinsman Amish Parochial School began in 1976.
Most families in the Kinsman settlement pursued farming or carpentry. One family had a bulk food store and deli.
In 2014 the settlement was part of the New Order Amish. The bishop was Daniel M. Miller. There was one district with a total of 25 family units.
