Kings Lake Hutterite Colony in Foremost, Alberta, was founded in 1976 as a division from the Elm Spring Hutterite Colony.

A daughter colony of the Kings Lake Hutterite Colony is the Shamrock Hutterite Colony (Bow Island, Alberta, Canada).

In 2017 Kings Lake Hutterite Colony was a Lehrerleut colony.
