Keller Park Church (South Bend, Indiana, USA)
In 1968 the Redeemer Missionary Church in South Bend, Indiana, USA, bought a former grocery store in the Keller Park neighborhood of South Bend and converted it into the Christian Community Center. In the early 1970s, the Center became the Agape Missionary Church. In the late 2000s, it became identified as the Keller Park Church.
Keller Park has tried to combine the mission of the church with the heart of a community center, from worship services to community meals, small groups (“k-groups”), and a food pantry.
Until 2022, Keller Park was affiliated with the North Central District of the Missionary Church. The Missionary Church had Mennonite roots and connections that ended after World War II. Keller Park believed the Missionary Church, for several decades, had moved toward a more generic American evangelicalism. Keller Park wanted to maintain an Anabaptist theological identity. After extensive exploration, Keller Park joined the Central District Conference of Mennonite Church USA.
In 2023 the congregation was part of the Central District Conference.
