Kalker, Hendrik Jans van (b. 1683)
Hendrik van Kalker (Calcar) (1683-?) was a Dutch Mennonite of Deventer who left the Old Flemish congregation of his home town to join the Swiss Mennonite congregation of Sappemeer. He published at Groningen in 1744 a Confession drawn up by his father-in-law, Jan van Komen, and wrote a preface for this book. It is not clear whether an appendix to this book, entitled: Korte Redengevinge van den dienst der Oudsten, which contains a number of particulars about the Swiss Mennonite ministry in the Netherlands, was written by van Komen or by van Kalker. Van Kalker was married 1703 to Grietje van Komen.
