Junius, Jacobus (18th century)

Jacobus Junius, author of Eenige Zedige doch korte aanmerkingen over de Broedertwist van vier Doopsgezinde leeraren...(Amsterdam, 1717). This pamphlet gives some information about a conflict between two preachers of the Amsterdam Zonist congregation, Harmen Reynskes van Overwyk and David van Heyst, and the preacher Douwe Douwensz Muys, of Hindeloopen in Friesland, who were accused by Kornelius van Huyzen preacher of Emden, of being followers of Spinoza and perverting the Christian truth of salvation. Jacobus Junius (likely a pseudonym) took the side of van Huyzen.
