Joy Fellowship Mennonite Church (Peoria, Illinois, USA)
The Joy Fellowship Mennonite Church, Peoria, Illinois, USA, was organized in 1984 under Stan Maclin's leadership. This African American congregation was located in the Harrison Homes housing project in the southern part of the city.
In 1985 the church joined both the Central District Conference of the General Conference Mennonite Church and the Illinois Mennonite Conference of the Mennonite Church (MC).
In the 1980s, the congregation sponsored a Home Owners Program that renovated older homes and offered them for sale to families hoping to move from the housing projects. Someone who received a home paid $75.00 or more per month for five years while giving 500 hours of work into the program.
In 2022 the congregation was part of the Central District Conference and the Illinois Mennonite Conference.
