Jehanne du Boys (d. 1558)

Jehanne du Boys, wife of Andries Vanneaulx, an Anabaptist martyr, was drowned at Antwerp, Belgium, on 22 (or 25) April 1558. She was born at Antwerp and lived at Doornik (Tournai). From there she fled to Antwerp because of persecution. She was charged with "the crime of being rebaptized and persisting in the error of the sect of the Anabaptists." Her husband, also a member of the congregation was fugitive. Probably the martyr Janneken Walraven, found in van Braght's Martyrs' Mirror (Dutch version, 178, English version, 563), is the same person as Jehanne du Boys.
