Jamesport Church of God in Christ, Mennonite (Jamesport, Missouri, USA)
The Jamesport Church of God in Christ, Mennonite congregation near Jamesport, Missouri, USA was established in 1991. The congregation started after several converts in the area began attending the Bethany congregation in Rich Hill, 2.5 hours away. The denomination's Mission Board decided to place a missionary couple in the area, Gary and Marsha Millsap. An organizational meeting of the tiny congregation took place in October 1991. Worship services were initially held monthly.
In March 1992, the group began meeting in the banquet hall of a local restaurant, and the frequency of services began to increase. In 1993 a six-acre property with an old house was purchased. The house was renovated and used by the congregation. Kenneth Koehn first served as the nonresident minister for Jamesport, but he and his wife moved to Jamesport in 1995.
A new church building was erected and dedicated on 23 May 1999.
The congregation also operates the Jamesport Mennonite School.
In 2020 the congregation was part of the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite. The ministers were Gregg Johnson, Allen Dirks, and Marvin Yoder.
