Iglesia Cristiana Ebenezer (Apopka, Florida, USA)
The Iglesia Cristiana Ebenezer in Orlando, Florida, began in 1979 as an outreach to Spanish-speaking people, led by Wilson Reyes. The group affiliated with the Southeast Mennonite Conference of the Mennonite Church (MC). The congregation moved to nearby Apopka in 1983 to a veterans' post that was made available to them rent-free if they repaired the building. It dedicated the upgraded facility on 5 February 1983. The church purchased the property in 1988 and expanded the facility.
In 2018, the Southeast Mennonite Conference withdrew from Mennonite Church USA and became a district of LMC: a Fellowship of Anabaptist Churches. Thus, Iglesia Cristiana Ebenezer's denominational affiliation changed.
The church has supported the Instituto Biblico Anabautista (IBA, Anabaptist Bible Institute) for many years.
In 2022, LMC changed its former practice and allowed women to serve as bishops if part of a team. Juanita Nuñez became one of the first women to serve in this role, serving with her husband, Eligio.
