Hope for the Broken Mennonite Church (Los Fresnos, Texas, USA)
Hope for the Broken Mennonite Church in Los Fresnos, Texas, began in September 2016 as an outreach of the South Central Mennonite Conference of Mennonite Church USA. Rod Schmucker was the founding pastor. Because of its proximity to the Mexican border, Hope for the Broken has been involved in immigration and justice issues.
In 2023, the South Central Mennonite Conference withdrew from Mennonite Church USA and, in 2024, chose to become a district of LMC: a Fellowship of Anabaptist Churches. Hope for the Broken Mennonite Church thus became part of LMC.
