Hochwald (Alsace, France)

Hochwald, a former Amish Mennonite congregation in Alsace in existence at least as early as 1770, became extinct about 1837, after most of the members had immigrated to America. Most of those remaining joined the new Protestant congregation, which was organized in that year.
