Hillsdale County Old Order Amish Settlement (Hillsdale County, Michigan, USA)
A small group of Old Order Amish settled near Jerome, Hillsdale County, Michigan, in the spring of 1945. This group included the families of Levi, Albert, and Peter Stoll, and William J. Schrock. In 1955 the resident minister was Amos Stoll, and Albert Graber of Middlebury, Indiana, had bishop oversight. The 1949 membership was 39.
Amos Stoll moved to Carlisle, Indiana in 1955 leaving the settlement without a minister. Most families moved away, but a few remained. They allowed use of automobiles soon after 1956. A small non-affiliated Mennonite church known as Hillsdale Faith Church emerged from this group.
