Hendrik Gysbrecht (d. 1535)
Hendrik Gysbrecht (Hendrik van Kampen), an Anabaptist martyr, a native of Kampen, was seized at Hoorn, Dutch province of North Holland, with Sijbrant Jansz, Steven Benedictus, Femmetje Egbertsdochter, and Welmoed Jansdochter, and sentenced to death on 7 June 1535 on the charge made by Anton Sonck that they had been rebaptized. The men were beheaded, their bodies broken on the wheel, and their heads set on poles; the women were drowned.
