Christina Häring(in), an [[Anabaptism|Anabaptist]] martyr, a member of a "zealous" Anabaptist family, for her brothers Christian and Thomas had a good reputation in the Moravian brotherhoods. Of Christina the <em>Geschichts-Bücher</em> state that she was seized and put in chains at [[Kitzbühel (Tyrol, Austria)|Kitzbühel]]. She remained steadfast. Because she was pregnant she was permitted to go home until her confinement. Though she could have escaped during this period, she remained. When she was returned to Kitzbühel she still persisted in her faith, and was therefore beheaded, "Which is unusual for a woman," as the chronicles remarks. Her corpse was burned. Her brothers escaped to [[Moravia (Czech Republic)|Moravia]].
