Gospel Light Conservative Mennonite Church (New California, Ohio, USA)

The New California Mennonite Church in New California, Ohio, USA began from a group of 14 families that withdrew from the United Bethel Conservative Mennonite Church in 1960. Enos Yoder, one of the ministers at United Bethel, was part of the group. The congregation was accepted as a full member of the Conservative Mennonite Conference in 1961. A level of reconciliation with the United Bethel congregation was achieved in 1962.

The congregation changed its name to Gospel Light Conservative Mennonite Church in the late 1960s.

Enos Yoder asked to be released from his ministerial duties in August 1975, and in February 1976 the congregation that had dwindled to eight members withdrew from the conference.
