Goshen Mennonite Church located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada is a part of the Mennonite Disciple Mission (MDM) association of congregations that worship in Swahili. Swahili is spoken in six African countries; Goshen seeks to minister to newcomers to Canada who have recently arrived from Africa.
The Mennonite Disciple Mission (MDM) was led in 2020 by Bishop Garant Sungura, a bishop in the Burundi Mennonite Church. He founded MDM in 2002. MDM Joliette, a congregation in Joliette, Québec, was also a part of the MDM association.
