Geuns, Cornelis Sytse van (1794-1827)

Cornelis Sytse van Geuns, brother of the Bartel, b. 1794 at Haarlem, d. 1827 at Leeuwarden. After finishing his studies at the Amsterdam Mennonite Seminary he served as a pastor for the congregations of Nijmegen in 1819(?)-22 and Leeuwarden 1822-1827. He wrote a paper entitled "Over den Oorsprong der Doopsgezinden van de oude Waldenzen," which was published after his death in Vaderlandsche Letteroefeningen, 1829. He was married to Barbara van Hees.
