In his Commentatio de primordiis studiorum fanaticorum Anabaptistarum saeculo XVI, which appeared anonymously at Königsberg in 1830, he tried to prove that the Anabaptist movement emanated from Nikolaus Storch. A copy of this rare book is found in the [[Amsterdam Mennonite Library (Bibliotheek en Archief van de Vereenigde Doopsgezinde Gemeente te Amsterdam)|Amsterdam Mennonite Library]] and in the university library of Göttingen.
