Fordham Hutterite Colony was founded in 1974 (Hofer says 1977) as a division from the Huron Hutterite Colony

Altona Hutterite Colony in Henderson, Minnesota, is a daughter colony.

In 2012 Fordham Hutterite Colony was a Schmiedeleut Group 1 colony. The minister was Bill Glanzer and the manager was Sam Glanzer.
