The Farwell Country Church east of Farwell, Texas, USA was established in 1994. The congregation started when some families from the Texline congregation sought a new location. The Colonization Board of the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite approved the area for settlement in 1993. It was a farming community, with corn, alfalfa, and cotton as the main crops. Many cattle were also raised.

The early families included minister James Koehn and his family, who came from Winton, California. The congregation formally organized on 6 July 1994.

The congregation initially worshipped in homes and later in rented facilities, including a vacant church building in Farwell. It built its own facility east of Farwell in about 2006.

The church also operates the Shining Star Christian School.

In 2020 the congregation was part of the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite. The ministers were Wade Unruh and Orie Nightingale.
