Faith River Christian Fellowship (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada)
In 2004 West Portal Church (Mennonite Brethren) in Saskatoon decided to start up a new church by "tithing" 10% of the congregation and one full-time pastor. The new congregation, called Faith River Christian Fellowship, held its first regular service on 6 February 2005 at the West Portal Church. The congregation was led by Pastor Andrew Fehr. A charter service was held on 25 September 2005 with 62 charter members. The congregation joined the Saskatchewan Conference of Mennonite Brethren (MB) Churches in March 2006. The church received financial support from the Saskatchewan MB Conference Board of Church Extension until 31 December 2006.
In 2005 the church purchased the Rock of Ages Lutheran Church. They began using the facility on Sunday evenings in September 2005 and took possession on 1 January 2006.
The congregation experienced steady growth and is a mix of people from many different cultures and backgrounds. From the beginning the congregation's desire has been to be not just a gathering place for like-minded Christians but a church that reaches out to those who have not yet discovered a relationship with Christ and the Church.
In 2010 the congregation had 76 members.
