Emmanuel Mennonite Church (St. Paul, Minnesota, USA)
The Emmanuel Mennonite Church, Roseville, Minnesota, USA, began in 1996 after a conflict in the Faith Mennonite Church over LGBTQ issues. About 40 adults and children began meeting in homes in August 1996. In October, the group began meeting in the Roseville Activity Center, a former elementary school. Emmanuel held its charter service on 15 December 1996. It became a member of both the North Central Conference of the Mennonite Church (MC) and the Northern District Conference of the General Conference Mennonite Church.
The congregation has rented space in various locations around St. Paul, Minnesota. In 2023 it shared space with the Peace Lutheran Church in Lauderdale, a small city (population 2,271 in 2020) surrounded by St. Paul and Minneapolis.
As part of the realignment of the Mennonite Church (MC) and General Conference Mennonite Church into Mennonite Church USA, Emmanuel Mennonite was among the congregations that joined the new Central Plains Mennonite Conference in 2000.
In 2023 the congregation remained part of the Central Plains Conference of Mennonite Church USA.
