Uilke Reitses Dijkstra was a farmer and preacher of the congregation of Dantumawoude in the Dutch province of Friesland, 1781-1812. He was a very active and influential church leader, being the last liefdeprediker (untrained and unsalaried preacher) of this large congregation, and its only minister during the years 1803-1811. In 1811 Jan ter Borg, trained at the Amsterdam Mennonite Seminary, came to his assistance. J. Kuiper preached his funeral sermon, Lijkrede op U. R. Dijkstra (Leeuwarden, 1823).
