Cornelis Aelbrechts (d. 1553)

Cornelis Aelbrechts, an Anabaptist martyr of Leiden, Dutch province of South Holland, was beheaded at Amsterdam on 16 January 1553, according to the re­corded sentence. He confessed that he had been rebaptized, and admitted that he had attended many conventikelen (meetings) at which Gillis van Aken preached.
