Conference Resource Library (Western District Conference, Mennonite Church USA)

The Conference Resource Library (formerly Western District Loan Library) functions under the supervision of the Western District Conference Resource Commission (formerly Education Committee). It was begun in 1936 largely through the efforts of Abram Warkentin, then on the staff of Bethel College. Through gifts and purchase the library was developed until in 1959 it had 3,400 volumes for loan; in 2009 it had over 12,000 items316-283-6300. At the beginning it was housed by Bethel College, North Newton, Kansas.
