Concord was the name of the ship that carried the first German immigrant group from Europe to America, composed of 13 Mennonite-Quaker families of [[Krefeld (Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany)|Krefeld]]. The ship left the Thames harbor at Gravesend on 24 July 1683 and after a difficult journey of two and one-half months arrived safely at [[Philadelphia (Pennsylvania, USA)|Philadelphia]] on 6 October 1683.
